The town is crossed by “Bieszczady tract”, which is a 150-kilometer-long horseback riding trail.
However, before you gallop in the wild, it would be good to first learn about horse-riding on the stud farm, where you can also take a droshky ride or a traditional sleigh ride (kulig) in winter.
The area of Ustrzyki Dolne commune, as in the case of the whole Bieszczady, is a perfect place for equestrian tourism. It is good to know that an integral part of horseback riding trails in Bieszczady is the hucul pony, belonging to an archaic breed originating from the region of Huculszczyzna. These little horses can be found in almost all stud farms in Bieszczady. They are extremely resistant to severe atmospheric conditions.
In the territory of the Ustrzyki Dolne commune, you can choose from among a wide offer of stud farms, among others in such locations as Arłamów or Dźwiniacz Dolny. This area is a place of horseback riding adventures for both advanced horseback riders and those who are starting to learn how to ride a horse – all that under the supervision of experienced and qualified instructors.
Our commune is crossed by a 150-kilometer-long Bieszczady tract leading from Olszanica, via Ustrzyki Dolne, all the way to Czarna. A greater part of the trail goes through forest roads. This trail is connected with other horseback riding trails in a way allowing you to visit the whole area of Bieszczady on horseback.
